Future Visions

Future Visions

As designers, our job is to look forward: we are constantly transforming abstract, conceptual visions of the future into tangible objects, spaces, and experiences of the present. We like to live right at the edge, that blurry boundary between the potential of a project and the final realized experience.

We get excited when asked to reimagine the Future of ______. It moves us and inspires us to think outside the box. Here we can envision a world two, five, or even thirty years from now. Will self-driving cars be a thing? Will we all talk to each other through Virtual Reality? Where will our food come from? What about space travel? What about retail?

Fascinated with the Futurist movements of the past and the Innovation culture of today, we are excited to dedicate this issue of the ICRAVE journal to Future Visions. We will explore a range of topics that continue to inspire the designs we build and the future we want to help create.
